Felicity Cliffe is a freelance conductor and fellow on the Royal Philharmonic Society’s Conductors’ Programme in partnership with Royal Northern Sinfonia. She is also Co-Artistic Director of the Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Training Orchestra, a Conducting Teacher for RAF Northolt and has recently completed the British Youth Opera’s Serena Fenwick Programme in partnership with Garsington Opera.
Felicity has worked with leading British ensembles including the BBC Philharmonic, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and The Hallé, assisting conductors such as Vasily Petrenko, Anja Bihlmaier (at the BBC Proms 2024), Joshua Weilerstein (at the BBC Proms 2025) and participated in masterclasses with Sir Mark Elder, Ed Gardner, Ludovic Morlot and Nico Pasquet.
Last year, Felicity made her debut with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra with performances in Greater Manchester as part of their ‘Schools’ Tour’ and a studio concert and recording of Smyth’s Overture and Intermezzo from ‘The Boatswain's Mate’ and Martinů’s Violin Concerto No.1 (with soloist, Kryštof Kohout) which she reportedly approached “with unruffled skill” (theartsdesk.com).
Felicity graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music in July 2025 where she was awarded an MMus with Distinction and the Mortimer Furber Prize for Conducting.
